AI4GH Projects and Principles: A Worldwide Snapshot.

This map provides an overview of the projects within the AI4GH initiative. It brings together 83 projects across 44 countries. Small coloured dots indicate individual projects and their locations, while larger black dots represent partner organisations, positioned at their main sites. Curved lines connect each project to its corresponding hub. The flower diagram summarises the principles that guide the projects within the initiative: AI solutions for global health must be ethical, inclusive, rights-respecting, sustainable, scalable, gender-responsive, community-based and driven by the Global South. The projects and partners work across two main areas: Sexual, Reproductive and Maternal Health and Epidemic and Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response. More information about each partner is available on the Partners page.

Interactive Map of AI Solutions Projects across the Global South, a part of the AI4GH Initiative.

This initiative promotes the development of ethically responsible and gender-inclusive AI solutions for global health challenges. The initiative funds numerous organizations in the Latin America, Caribbean, Middle East, Africa, and South Asia regions of the global south to develop innovative AI solutions suitable for low- and middle-income settings.

The interactive map is a platform designed to increase the visibility and accessibility of various projects. Our objective is to promote collaboration, knowledge exchange, and collective efforts towards achieving sustainable health outcomes for everyone. You can click on a country or select themes and explore the projects represented by pins on the map. Each pin contains valuable information about the project, offering insights into its objectives, methodologies, and impact.

We invite you to explore the diverse landscape of AI solutions for global health and discover the transformative potential of these initiatives.
